Thea is an attorney whose practice is devoted to mediation. She got her training in family and divorce mediation from Woodbury College in 1994 and has had a contract for mediation services through the Vermont Judiciary since that time.
Her main focus is to help couples find peaceful resolution when separating or divorcing. She can assist with the necessary court paperwork, including preparation of parenting plans, property division agreements and child support. She worked for the Family Court for 6 years as a case manager, Guardian ad Litem supervisor, and domestic violence program coordinator before returning to private practice in 2016.
Thea is also a parent coordinator for high conflict families, and teaches the Helping Children Cope with Separation & Divorce course mandated by the Family Court.
Thea co-chairs the Vermont Family Mediators (VFaM) organization which provides training and peer support for mediators and parent coordinators state-wide.
Licensed VT attorney, JD from Northeastern Law School, member of the Vermont Bar Association and VFaM. Mediation contracts with the Vermont Superior Court Family Mediation Program and Agency of Education.
